Steven M. Fain, CPA, ChFC
Steve is a native of Oregon and joined Financial Reserve in 1995. He holds Series 7, 63 and 65 licenses with Cambridge Investment Research as well as life and health licenses. Steve is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and holds the Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) designation.
Before joining the firm, Steve worked with the accounting firm Ernst & Young and The Zupsic Company, a private real estate development firm. He earned his B.S. in business administration with accounting emphasis from Pepperdine University in Malibu, California.
Steve and his wife, Penelope, have three children, David, Laura and Michael. Steve enjoys golf, tennis and spending time with his family.
Brandon L. Erickson, CPA, ChFC, CFP
Brandon joined the firm in 2003. He holds Series 7 and 66 licenses with Cambridge Investment Research as well as life and health licenses. Brandon is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and holds the Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) and Certified Financial Planner (CFPÒ) designations.
Prior to joining Financial Reserve, Brandon worked at the accounting firm Isler Northwest, LLC and with the Montana Legislative Audit Division. Raised in Montana, Brandon earned his B.A. in accounting from Carroll College in Helena, Montana.
Brandon and his wife, Gretchen, have two children, Isaac and Morgan. Brandon enjoys spending time with family and friends, biking, hiking, skiing, reading and traveling.
Daniel J. Heck, CPA, ChFC
Dan joined Financial Reserve in 1998. He holds Series 7, 63 and 65 licenses with Cambridge Investment Research as well as life and health licenses. Dan is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and holds the Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) designation.
Born and raised in Washington, Dan earned his B.S. in accounting from Central Washington University in Ellensburg, Washington, but he spent most of his college career at University of Washington. He’s a Husky! Before joining the firm, Dan worked with the IRS and accounting firms Geffen Mesher, Perkins & Company and Deloitte & Touche.
Dan and his wife, Nancy, have twin boys, Brandon and Kyle. Dan enjoys flying as a private pilot, fishing, shooting and playing electric guitar.
David K. Pederson, CPA, PFS
Dave is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and holds the Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) designation. He holds Series 7, 24 and 66 licenses with Cambridge Investment Research as well as life and health licenses. Dave is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
Prior to joining Financial Reserve, Dave worked with accounting firms Coopers & Lybrand and PricewaterhouseCoopers and as a senior director at Banfield. Dave earned his B.S. and M.S. in accounting from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah.
Dave and his wife, Krystal, have five children, Nicole, Nathan, Derek, Lauren and Kurt. Dave enjoys spending time with his family, being in the outdoors and playing sports, especially basketball.
Alex J. Sheppard, MBA, CFP
Raised in Eugene, Oregon, Alex joined Financial Reserve in 2009. He holds Series 7, 63 and 65 licenses with Cambridge Investment Research as well as life and health licenses. Alex is a Certified Financial Planner (CFPÒ). Before joining the firm, Alex worked with the H Group as an advisor and as an analyst with Franklin Templeton Investments. Alex earned his B.A. in mathematical economics from Pomona College and his MBA from The University of Texas at Austin.
Alex and his wife, Virginia, have a daughter, Camila. Alex enjoys tennis, golf, skiing and reading novels.
Claudia joined Financial Reserve in 2016. She holds Series 7 and 66 licenses with Cambridge Investment Research as well as life and health licenses.
Born and raised in Germany, Claudia earned her M.A. in Teaching English and French from Georg-August University of Göttingen, followed by a Ph.D. in Applied Linguistics from Technical University of Braunschweig Carolo-Wilhelmina in Germany. She spent her previous academic career in adult education teaching linguistics and English to international students in both in Germany and the U.S. Prior to joining Financial Reserve, she worked with Merrill Lynch Wealth Management.
Claudia is the mother of four boys, Jack, Leonard, Nicholas, and Harry, with whom she enjoys an active life practicing Taekwondo and fishing.
Jackie Pasciak, CRPC, CRPS, AIF
Jackie joined the firm in 2016 with 19 years’ experience as a financial advisor. She holds Series 7, 63 and 65 licenses with Cambridge Investment Research as well as life and health licenses. Jackie holds the Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor designation (CRPC), as well as the Chartered Retirement Plans Specialist (CRPS) and Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF) designations.
Prior to joining the firm, Jackie has worked as an independent financial advisor at KMS Financial Services, Inc., and Commonwealth Financial Network in the Portland area. She studied Biology and Spanish at the University of Buffalo.
In her spare time, she enjoys flamenco dancing, music, and traveling and exploring the outdoors with her partner, Bob.
Jennifer joined the firm in 2010. She holds Series 7, 24, 53, 63 and 65 licenses with Cambridge Investment Research as well as life and health licenses. Prior to joining Financial Reserve, Jennifer worked with Nationwide as a regional field supervisor and with National Planning Corporation as a compliance officer. Raised in Washington, Jennifer earned her B.A. in elementary education from Washington State University.
Jennifer and her husband, Andrew, have two sons, Brady and Drew. Jennifer enjoys traveling, staying fit and sharing the outdoors with her boys.

Julia joined the firm in 2005. Raised in Oregon, Julia graduated from Oregon State University with at B.S. in speech communication.
Julia and her husband Ryan have been married since September 2010. Julia enjoys reading, movies, camping, home improvement projects and time with friends and family.
Tracee joined the firm in 2015.
She is a native Oregonian.
Prior to joining the firm, Tracee was a stay at home mom raising her two children. She has also worked as an administrative assistant/receptionist and attended Portland Community College.
Tracee enjoys watching football and baseball and played competitive volleyball for 6 years while in school. She has completed the Portland marathon and completed two Portland Rock n Roll half marathons.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, and being outdoors.

Jodi joined Financial Reserve in 1998. Jodi grew up locally in Oregon and attended Portland Community College studying business, finance and accounting.
Jodi enjoys spending time with her son, Jacob, her cats, camping and cold cereal.
Client Service Coordinator
Carol joined the firm in 2014 with 11 years’ experience in the financial industry.
Raised in Newberg, Oregon, Carol earned a BA in Bible, Church Music and Christian Education from Puget Sound Christian College.
Her interests are soap making, knitting, quilting, gardening and plant propagation, playing piano and singing with her family and friends at church. Along with her husband, Scott, Carol looks forward to time spent with their children, Jesse, Bridgett, Carissa, Kendra and Cole.
Joyce first joined Financial Reserve in 2006. She was happy to return to the firm in 2014, after completing a term of National Service working with at risk students as an AmeriCorps Reading Tutor.
Joyce attended the University of Oregon and studied abroad for one year at the Center for Foreigners though the University of Florence, Italy. She earned a BA in Liberal Arts at Portland State University.
Joyce has been a licensed Esthetician, a DOT drug testing trainer and troubleshooter and a stay at home parent. Joyce has two children, Patrick and Francesca. She enjoys yoga, dance, art history, lively family gatherings and all things Italian.

Kim joined the firm in 2012. She grew up in Central California and moved to Oregon in 1990. Kim comes to us with over 15 years of Office Support experience.
Kim enjoys spending time with her family, friends and her cockatiel, “Bird”.
